• In May 1989, the Union of garment production and import-export companies (belonging to Ministry of Light Industry) established the Garment production and service Entreprise with small-scale of 300 workers on the basis of the Union’s warehouse at Duc Giang town.

• On December 12^th, 1992, the Minister of Light Industry signed the Decision transforming the Enterprise into Duc Giang garment Company , member of Union of garment production and import-export companies.

• During the following years, the Company developped continuously: the Company has built two modern workshops at Duc Giang premises ( from one small workshop at the beginning, the Company has increased material falicities to 6 garment factories, 1 embroydery factory, 1 washing factory, 1 cardboard box factory) in the same time established 3 joint- venture companies in Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa provinces.   

• On september 15­^th­, 2005 the Minister of Industry signed the Decision No 2882/QĐ-TCCB transforming Duc Giang garment company into May Duc Giang joint-stock company .

• Since January 1^st, 2006 the Company officialy operates under joint-stock company status in there state owned capital represents 45% charter capital. At present the Company and its joint-venture companies employ about 8500 people and produce yearly about 7 millions shirts, 3 millions jackets and 1 million trousers. Products of the Company have been exported to many countries in the world.

• After nearly 2 decades of development, the Company has been rewarded the title of Hero and several medals.
